Chesaning Varsity Baseball defeated Merrill 4-1 in the opening game of the season. The Indians were led by Tyler Sager, who threw a no hitter and Nash Wendling who went 3 for 3 at the plate. Sager pitched 7 innings with 0 hits, 12 strike outs, 1 walk and gave up 1 unearned run. Wendling led the Indians at the plate going 3 for 3 with 1 double, 2 singles and 1 RBI. Sager also went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, 1 walk and 1 RBI. Zach Marzluft went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's and Nate Marshall had the other hit for the Indians going 1 for 2.
