MT. MORRIS HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The Chesaning Varsity Baseball team defeated Mt. Morris in game 1 4-3 in 10 innings. Tyler Sager started on the mound for the Indians and went 5 2/3 innings giving up 3 runs (1 earned run), with 5 hits, 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. Nash Wendling came in for relief and collected the win pitching the last 4 1/3 innings giving 0 runs on 1 hit, 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. Wendling, a freshman, collected his first win of his high school career.
Logan Fulk led the way at the plate for the Indians going 3-6 with 2 singles and a double. In the bottom of the 10th inning, with 1 out, Fulk knocked in the game winning RBI on a hard hit ball over the head of the center fielder.
Sager was 2-3, with a triple, 1 RBI and scored 1 run.
Nate Marshall was 2-4 with 1 RBI and also walked 1 time.
Wendling was 1-3 and also was walked 2 times.
The Indians record now stands 2-1 and 1-0 in MMAC competition.
