On Tuesday, October 12, the freshman volleyball team traveled to Montrose to compete. The Indians lost the first two sets, but managed to win the final set of the game; 22-25, 16-25, 25-23.
Leading the freshman was Caira Zervan with 11 service points, five aces, one assist and two kills. Keira Swartz added nine service points, two aces, one kill and one block. Natalie Pierce had six service points, three kills and two digs. Mariana Escamilla scored five service points, four of those were aces. Terrah Moyer added five service points, while Arianna Barancik contributed one ace. Casey Railling had two kills on the night.
The lady Indians had some good volleys, but in the end, they struggled to receive the ball on the serve. For the final game of the season, the team travels to Ovid Elsie to take on the Mauraders next Tuesday, October 19.
