Last night, the Chesaning 8th grade volleyball teams traveled to Ovid-Elsie and split with the Marauders. In the first match, the Orange team won 2 out of 3 sets 25-10, 25-21, & 16-25. Leading the team in points was Kaydence Haney with 11; 8 of them being ace serves. Following behind her was Marissa Ball with 5, Alonna Schack with 4 ace serves, Hope Boyd, Riley Sedlar, & Malayla Sumbera with 3 points each, Noriah Ortega with 2 aces, Rosalie Rahmann also with 2 points, and Keyra James with one ace serve. Haney also had one assist to Ortega's kill and Bea Oberson also had one kill over the net.

In the second match, the Black team lost with close scores of 22-25, 19-25, & 20-25. Leading scorer was Ellie Kenny with 7 points. Next was Juliana Rodriguez and Brooke Springer with 5 points each. Chloe Tithof had 4 while both Leigha Schneider and Whitney James had 3 points. Lastly, both Letty Dupras & Ruby Gross scored one. James, Dupras, Schneider, & Rodriguez each had one assist. Gross tallied up 2 kills while James, Springer, Schneider, & Rodriguez each had one.
