Chesaning Baseball completed conference play by defeating the Montrose Rams 10-1 in Game 2. Nash Wendling continued his phenomenal freshman season by throwing a complete game 3 hitter to improve his record to 5-1. Wendling threw 7 innings giving up 1 unearned run on 3 hits and no walks while fanning 8 Ram batters.
At the plate the Indians were led by Lucas Powell by going 4-5 with 1 RBI and scoring 3 runs. Tyler Sager went 3-3 with 2 walks, 4 RBI and scored 1 run. Zach Marzluft went 2-4 with 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Weston Powell went 1-4 with 1 walk, 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Logan Fulk went 1-5 with 1 RBI and scored 2 runs. Andrew Woodcock and Nate Marshall both went 1-4 and each scored 1 run.
WIth the win the Indians finish MMAC play with a 2nd place finish and a 10-4 record. Chesaning's overall record now stands at 16-8-1. Chesaning will travel to Birch Run on Friday, May 28 for a double header against the Panthers.
