Chesaning Baseball defeated St. Charles 13-0 on a combined no-hitter from Tyler Sager and Ty Gross. With the win the Indians advance in the MHSAA District Tournament and will play Valley Lutheran at Valley Lutheran HS on Saturday, June 5 at 10 AM. Tyler Sager pitched the first 3 innings and gave up 0 runs on 0 hits, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts to collect the win. Sager's record improves to 7-1 on the season. Ty Gross, who made his first appearance of the season due to an injury, pitched 2 innings and gave up 0 runs on 0 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

Chesaning scored 1 run in the 1st inning, 3 in the 2nd, 8 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th and none in the 5th to make the score 13-0. At the plate the Indians were led by Weston  Powell, Nash Wendling and Nate Martin as each collected 2 hits. Powell was 2-4 with 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. Nate Martin was 2-3 with 1 walk and scored 2 runs. Nash Wendling was 2-4 and scored 2 runs. Lucas Powell was 1-4 with a walk and scored 3 runs. Zach Marzluft was 1-3 with 1 walk and scored 2 runs. The Indian batters also walked 8 times and 1 batter was hit by a pitch during the game.

Chesaning next plays Carrollton on Wednesday, June 2 at Chesaning in the last home game of the season. With the win, the Indians record improves to 17-8-1.
