On Saturday, June 5 the Chesaning Varsity Baseball team defeated Valley Lutheran in the District Semi-Finals 3-0 and then lost to Hemlock in the District Finals 6-0.

Against Valley Lutheran Nash Wendling started on the mound and earned the win for for the Indians. Wendling pitched 6 1/3 innings scattered 6 hits, allowed 2 walks, struck out 2 batters and gave up 0 runs. With the win Wendling's record improved to 6-1 on the season. Tyler Sager came in for relief to get the final 2 outs and earn the save. 

At the plate the Indians were led by Sager who went 2-3. Eli Escamilla was 1-3 with 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Lucas Powell was 1-3 and 1 walk. Zach Marzluft was also 1-3.

In the District Final game the Indians were defeated by Hemlock 6-0. A lack of hitting and errors cost the Indians in the game. Tyler Sager started on the mound and took the loss for the Indians. Sager pitched 5 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), 1 walk and struck out 6. Sager finished the season with a 7-2 record and 1 save. Ty Gross came in for relief and pitched the final 1 1/3 innings giving up 1 hit, 2 unearned runs and 2 walks.

At the plate the Indians were led by Eli Escamilla who went 2-2. Rafe Deal was 1-2. Nash Wendling went 1-3.

The Indians finished the season with a 19-10-1 record and a 2nd place, 10-4 record in the MMAC.
