CARO HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Chesaning Varsity Baseball team opened the season 1-0 with a victory over the visiting Caro Tigers. Tyler Sager earned the victory for the Indians, throwing a complete game 1 hitter. Over 7 innings Sager struck out 19 batters, walked 2 batters, while giving up 1 hit and 1 earned run. Chesaning opened the scoring with 3 runs in the first inning and 1 run in the second inning to take a 4-0 lead into the 7th inning. Caro scored their lone run in the 7th inning making the final score 4-1.
Offensively the Indians were led by the following:
Nash Wendling 1-3, scored 1 run and also had 1 stolen base.
Brady Sager 1-3, with 1 RBI and also had 2 stolen bases.
Lucas Powell 1 walk and 1 run.
Logan Fulk 1 walk, 1 run and 2 stolen bases.
Max Volk 1 walk, 1 run and 2 stolen bases.
Tyler Sager 1 RBI.
With the win the Indians record improves to 1-0.
