The Chesaning Varsity Baseball team completed the MMAC sweep by defeating Ovid-Elsie in game 2 by a score of 14-4. The Indians once again took the early lead by scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. The Indians added 2 runs in the 4th inning and completed the scoring with 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. Ovid-Elsie scored 2 runs in the 3rd and 5th innings. Nash Wendling started the game on the mound and earned the win for the Indians. Wendling threw his first complete game of the season going all 5 innings in the mercy rule shortened game. Wendling gave up 4 runs, only 1 of those runs was earned, on 3 hits, with 1 walk and struck out 8 Marauders.

At the plate the Indians collected 12 hits and 8 walks during the game. Eli Escamilla had a game at the plate going 2-4, with a double and a triple, while collecting 5 RBI’s and scoring 2 runs. Tyler Sager went 2-3 with 1 walk, 2 RBI’s and scored 2 runs. Keighan Stoddard went 2-3 with 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Nash Wendling went 2-4 with 1 walk, 2 RBI’s and scored 2 runs. Lucas Powell went 2-4 and scored 1 run. Logan Fulk was 1-2 with a walk and scored 2 runs. Lucas Rumisek also collected 1 hit in the game. Brady Sager was walked 2 times and scored 2 runs. Max Volk also walked 2 times, collected 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Adam Woodcock walked 1 time and scored 1 run.

With the win the Indians improve to 2-0 in the MMAC and 4-0 overall.
