The Chesaning Indians traveled to Lakeville for an MMAC doubleheader and came away with a win in game 1. Tyler Sager took the mound for the Indians and continued his early season mound dominance by throwing a no hitter in the 5 inning mercy rule game. Sager faced 16 batters in the game and recorded all 15 outs by strikeout. Lakeville’s lone base runner was a hit batter in the 4th inning. With the win Sager improves his record to 3-0 on the season. Chesaning took an early lead on the Falcons scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning and added 3 more in the 2nd inning. Then the Indians tallied 3 runs in the 4th inning and finished their scoring with 1 run in the 5th inning.

Offensively the Indians were led by Nash Wendling who had a great night at the plate. Wendling went 3-4 and scored 3 runs. Tyler Sager aided his cause by going 2-3 with 1 walk and knocked in 2 RBI’s. Brady Sager also had 2 hits going 2-4 with 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Lucas Powell went 1-3 with 1 walk and scored 1 run. Dylan James went 1-3 and collected 2 RBI’s. Adam Woodcock went 1-2 with a walk and scored 1 run.

With the win the Indians improve to 3-0 in the MMAC and 6-1 overall.
