New Lothrop came out strong early looking to avenge the game 1 loss by scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Chesaning responded in the bottom of the first when Lucas Powell led the inning off with a single to center field. Powell then advanced to 2nd when Nash Wendling grounded out. Tyler Sager then reached first on an error by the shortstop and Powell used his speed to score all the way from second base to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Hornets. The score remained the same until the bottom of the third inning. Wendling led the inning off with a double to left field. Tyler Sager then singled to center field and Wendling advanced to third. Eli Escamilla then doubled to left field, scoring both Wendling and Sager to make the score 3-2. Brady Sager then singled to center field to drive in Escamilla. Now with 2 outs Lucas Rumisek doubled to right field which allowed Brady Sager to score and pushed the Indians lead to 5-2 after 3 innings. Both teams went quietly in the fourth inning, however New Lothrop scored 3 runs of their own in the top of the fifth inning to tie the score at 5. Chesaning then went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning. New Lothrop then took the lead in the top of the sixth inning by scoring a run and making the score 6-5. New Lothrop still had the bases loaded with 1 out and Chesaning turned a great double play to get out of the inning. Then with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning Adam Woodcock legged out an infield single. Woodcock then stole second base and Powell then drove Woodcock in with a line drive single to center field to once again tie the score 6-6. New Lothrop threatened again in the top of the seventh inning with bases loaded and two outs, Chesaning pitcher Logan Fulk got the New Lothrop hitter to fly out to center field. That set the stage for the bottom of the seventh inning. Tyler Sager reached first base on an error by the New Lothrop shortstop. After a strikeout, Brady Sager followed with a single putting runners at first and second with one out. Logan Fulk was then hit by a pitch to load the bases for Chesaning. Max Volk then stepped to the plate and the freshman responded by hitting a line drive down the third base line to score Tyler Sager and give the Indians the sweep of the Hornets.
