Chesaning Baseball traveled to Owosso on Thursday, April 13 and lost a back and forth game to the Trojans 8-9. Chesaning struck first in the top of the 1st inning when Brady Sager scored on a single by Nash Wendling making the score 1-0. Owosso then took the lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 3 runs to make the score 3-1. Chesaning came right back and scored 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning to tie the score at 3, when Sager and Max Volk both scored on a single by Logan Fulk. The Indians then reclaimed the lead in the top of the 4th inning when Lucas Powell stole 3rd base and scored on an overthrow by the Owosso catcher making the score 4-3. In the top of the 6th inning Chesaning increased their lead to 6-3 when Sager and Ethan Hinojosa scored on a two out single by Wendling. Owosso then reclaimed the lead by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning making the score 7-6 in favor of the Trojans. Then in the top of the 7th inning Sager knocked in Lucas Rumisek and Adam Woodcock with a two out single to put the Indians back on top 8-7 heading to the bottom of the 7th inning. With two outs and a runner on 2nd base, Owosso hit a 2 run home run to walk it off and make the final score in favor of the Trojans 9-8.

Adam Woodcock started his first varsity game on the mound for the Indians and pitched a solid 5 innings allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and struck out 3 batters.

Logan Fulk pitched 1 inning and allowed 4 runs (3 earned runs), on 3 hits and 1 walk.

Brady Sager suffered the loss and pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 2 unearned runs on 1 hit.
