Chesaning defeated Caro 7-5 in the 6 inning game 2. Chesaning struck first by scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Logan Fulk scored the first run of the game on a single by Lucas Rumisek. Adam Woodcock followed by hitting a double to center field to score Max Volk and Rumisek. Lucas Powell then knocked in Woodcock with a single to left field and Brady Sager continued the hitting streak with a single to center field to score Powell to make the score 5-0 after 2 innings. Caro then responded with 2 runs in the 3rd inning and 2 more in the top of the 4th inning to make the score 5-4 in favor of the Indians. Chesaning answered in the bottom of the 4th inning when Rumisek knocked in his 2nd run of the game with a double to center field to score Blake Laskowski. Rumisek then scored on a fielder’s choice ground ball by Woodcock to push the Indian lead to 7-4 after 4 inings. Caro then tallied 1 run in the top of the 6th inning to end the game with a 7-5 victory for the Indians.

Banks Deal started the game on the mound for the Indians and pitched 3 solid innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks and struck out 1 batter. Ethan Hinojosa then came in and pitched the rest of the game to earn his 1st varsity win on the mound. Hinojosa pitched 3 innings and allowed 5 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and struck out 4. With the win, Hinojosa’s record stands at 1-0 for the season.
