Then in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Chesaning finally got on the board when Brady Sager hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Adam Woodcock making the score 2-1 in favor of the Chargers. The score remained 2-1 until the bottom of the 6th inning when Nash Wendling hit a line drive single with two outs to score Sager and even the score at 2-2. Neither team could push a run across the plate in the 7th inning, so the game went into extra innings. Valley Lutheran took a commanding lead in the top of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs to make the score 5-2. However, the Indians did not give up and battled with each at bat. The teams played with International Tie Breaker rules to help speed the game along, so Sager started the inning at 2nd base. Max Volk then walked and Wendling followed that with a single to load the bases for Chesaning. Logan Fulk was then hit by a pitch which allowed Sager to score and keep the bases loaded for the Indians. Eli Escamilla then hit a 2 run single to center field, scoring Volk and Wendling and tying the game at 5. Keighan Stoddard was then intentionally walked to load the bases once again. With one out Woodcock stepped up to the plate and hit a shot past the 3rd baseman and shortstop to score Fulk and give Chesaning a dramatic come from behind win 6-5 in 8 innings.

Lucas Powell earned the victory pitching a complete game for the Indians. In 8 innings of work, Powell allowed 7 hits, 5 runs (2 earned runs), 1 walk and struck out 10 batters. With the win Powell improves his record to 2-0 on the season.
