The Chesaning varsity football claimed their first conference championship in 18 years with a 65-0 win over the Lakeville Falcons. The win improves the Indians record to 6-0 in conference and outright league champs. Leading the way offensively was Brayden Florian with 378 yards rushing and 5 rushing tds. Keighan Stoddard and Brayden Florian also had a receiving touchdown while Brady Sager rushed for a touchdown. Defensively the Indians were led by Keighan Stoddard with 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Sack, and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. Mikey Clover had 8 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 sack.. Gavin Birchmeier had 5 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack, and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. The Indians now have a 7-1 record and will finish out the regular season at Carrollton.
