The Chesaning Boys Golf Team traveled to The Emerald in St. Johns on Friday, May 3 to compete in the 1st Annual Marauder Cup hosted by Ovid-Elsie. The event offered a unique mid-season format that allowed one coach and four high school players to compete in a 5-person scramble format. The Indians entered two teams into the event. A team consisting of Justin Lange, Charlie Clover, Quinton Everett, Luke Skaryd, and Coach Ryan Hoerner fired a 13-under par score of 59. The score was good for a 5th place finish in a 23 team field. Chesaning's additional varsity team consisting of Brad Agnew, Josh Lange, Will Pierce, Porter Greenfelder, and Coach Jerry Skaryd shot an 11-under par score of 61. The finish was good for an 8th place tie with Frankenmuth. Swan Valley won the invitational with a score of 56.
