    On Thursday, your Chesaning Indians hosted their home opener and overwhelmed the Panthers from Mt. Morris with a final score of 46-14. Your Indians scored four offensive touchdowns, while the defense tried to outpace them with three of their own. Chesaning offensively had 292 total yards with 154 yards on the ground. Damion Obuchowski led the rushing attack with 69 yards and one touchdown while Griffin Sulen had 62 yards. Quarterbacks Dylon James and Logan Vogelarr accounted for the rest of the rushing yards in the contest and James found the endzone on a five yard sneak. Receiving Will Pierce stole the show coming away with two first half touchdown passes hauled in, one as time was expiring heading into half. Logan Vogelarr threw both touchdown passes in the contest, one for 46 yards and the other for 27 yards. Danny Tjernia also contributed in the passing game with 49 yards of his own. Defensively, your Indians forced five turnovers, three of which were pick sixes. Obuchowski started the game off with one that went to the house for about a 40 yard return. Hunter Brabaw took one 80 yards for another in the third quarter. Lastly, Danny took one for about 30 yards to the house. Recovering fumbles for the defense was Porter Greenfelder and Tate Lapine. Leading the team in tackles was Vogelaar with six and Obuchowski chipped in with five of his own. Peyton Heise from his D-line position forced two sacks and two tackles for a loss. Collin Brabant, Gavin Welch, Greenfelder, and Sulen also had tackles for a loss in the contest.
