In a rematch of early season loss the Indians traveled to Durand and came away victorious! It was a close game all night with Chesaning leading 9-8 after one quarter of play.  Both teams scored nine each in the second with Chesaning holding on to a 1 point lead 18-17 at the half. Chesaning continued to play tough team defense in the second half while adding a couple of more points in the third quarter to have a 28-24 lead entering the fourth quarter. Kennedy McAlpine knocked down two big 3 pointers in the final quarter as the Indians outscored Durand 14-9 to win the game 42-33.

I was so impressed with our team defense and the outstanding job that Avery Butcher and Hannah Cooper did keeping Jordyn Lawrence to only 6 points for the game.  Ava Devereaux, Hannah Oakes and Alexia Mugute did well holding Jessica Winslow to 11 points. 

This game meant a lot to us as we felt we didn't play our best against them the first time when we lost at home to them 38-32. I am very happy with our preparation in practice and how we implemented the game plan tonight. Our team has been practicing well and it paid off.
