Friday night the Indians won at home 56-19 versus the Lakeville Falcons. We started slower than we wanted and found ourselves down 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. From that point on it was all Chesaning. We outscored Lakeville 20-5 in the second quarter to take a 26-12 lead into the half. We continued to play good defense in the 3rd quarter and widened our lead to 38-14. In a game that saw all 9 players score, we were able to finish the 4th quarter with a 18-5 advantage.
It was good to see the team share the ball and make the extra pass. I am very happy with how they responded after a tough loss Tuesday night. We shot the ball better tonight led by our seniors Lilly Skaryd and Kennedy McAlpine. I know when they are hitting their shots we have a great chance to win the game. Defensively, we were led by Avery Butcher who was able to knock down 2 of her own 3 pointers and held their best player to 8 points. I cant say enough about the energy the team had tonight and how they were very supportive of each other!
