Friday night basketball is the best!
We went to New Lothrop  (7-4, MMAC 6-2) tonight and came away with the victory!

The team has been working really hard lately and our determination and efforts are paying off. Great team defense led to scoring opportunities.  

The Lady Indians came out and jumped to a 10 point lead in the first quarter while holding New Lothrop scoreless. New Lothrop came charging back scoring 7 points in the first 36 seconds of the second quarter enroute to out scoring the Indians 15-9 in the second quarter.  The halftime score was Chesaning 19 and New Lothrop 15.

The Indians came out a little flat in the third quarter and found themselves tied 23-23 going into the fourth quarter. Clutch free throw shooting by Kennedy McAlpine, Ava Devereaux, Hannah Oakes and Charley Mahan led to us winning the game out scoring the Hornets 13-7 to win the game 36-30.
 

New Lothrop is a well coached team and I knew it was too good to be true when we went up 10-0 to start the game, they made some adjustments and gave us a fight the rest of the game.

Lilly Skaryd has stepped up her game lately and is playing really well. She led the team with 14 points 3 rebounds, 7 steals and 2 blocked shots.
