The Lady Indians hosted the league leading Ovid-Elsie Marauders Friday night.  Ovid-Elsie started better than we did and led us 13-5 after the first quarter.  O-E's defense and great shooting led to them outscoring us 26-10 in the second quarter.  We went into the locker room down 39-15 at the half.  The 3rd quarter OE continued their attack against us forcing us to turn over the ball which led to more scoring opportunities for the visitors.  We fell behind 62-23 heading in to the fourth quarter.  Our resolve to keep fighting and never give up attitude led us to a 15-8 fourth quarter advantage but we ended up losing the game 70-38.  With the win, Ovid-Elsie improves to 13-0 and 9-0 in the MMAC, while Chesaning falls to 9-5 and 7-4 in the MMAC

O-E plays well together and they have some really good athletes, they are undefeated for a reason.  They ended up with 3 players in double digits scoring, Ava Bates 16 points, Caitlyn Walter 14 points and Evalyn Cole 14 points.

 I can't say enough about my team's effort.  Lilly Skaryd showed the team how to fight back and the rest of the girls followed her example. It would have been easy to give up and go home but we continued to make O-E earn the victory.  I am proud of them all.
