The Chesaning Indians won at home tonight 57-22 over their visitors, Midland Calvary Baptist. This is the Indians 3rd win a row and improves their overall record to 12-5. Midland Calvary drops to 9-7 overall.
The Indians jumped out early to a 12-2 lead in the first quarter. Strong defensive pressure forced some turnovers and the Indians stretched their lead to 32-8 at half time. The third quarter was more of the same as the lead grew to 47-10. The fourth quarter saw MCB with a 12-10 advantage behind Caitlyn Dickersons's 19 points.
Our team has really focused on working on our defense and it shows with 24 steals and 16 deflections tonight. Offensively we continue to improve with making the extra pass and getting the ball to open teammates. We had a really balanced scoring attack tonight!
Hannah Oakes led the team tonight with a season high 14 points, 8 rebounds and 1 steal.
