The Chesaning Indians lost in the district semi final game Wednesday night to the New Lothrop Hornets.  New Lothrop jumped out to a 20-9 lead in the first quarter. The Indians played the Hornets close to even in the second quarter with New Lothrop holding a 29-17 lead at the half.  Chesaning came out of the locker room and closed the gap to 34-27 with a 10-5 scoring advantage in the 3rd quarter.  Unfortunately the team could not cut the lead in the fourth quarter and ended up losing 40-31.  Despite outscoring New Lothrop 22-20 in the final 3 quarters, out rebounding the Hornets 26-19 and also going to the free throw line 4 times versus New Lothrop's 27 attempts (where they made 15 free throws) the Indians were plagued by foul trouble, injury and turnovers.  

The Indians finish the season at 10-13 while New Lothrop (16-6) will play Millington (11-11) in the district finals, Friday night at 7pm.

I want to thank our seniors who played with passion and left it all on the court!  The whole team played hard all season and improved throughout the year. We are disappointed that it is over but thankful we had the opportunities to compete together and be a team.
