In game 2 of the double header, the Lady Indians defense let down a good start by Ava Devereaux as Valley Lutheran plate the only runs it needed in the first inning in a 3-1 loss. Devereaux went 5 innings giving up 0 earned runs with 7 hits 5 k's and 4 walks. Kylie Florian, Abbey VanHarren, Hannah Cooper, Skylar Davis and Charley Mahan all collected hits for the young Lady Indians with Mahan having a 2B and scored the only run. "Our pitching is starting to come around, however we need to cut down on the walks and wild pitches and we need to get better defensively. Offensively we need to learn to make adjustments to the pitchers and be more aggressive when we get a good first pitch we jump on it and not let the pitcher dictate the at bat." The young Indians stand 3-5 overall and 3-3 in MMAC play and host Durand on Tuesday April 27th in conference play.
