Chesaning took on St Charles in non-conference action. In game 1 Chesaning jumped out to a 4-0 lead through 2 innings until St Charles scored 3 in the 3rd inning to make the score 4-3 after 3. No team scored in the 4th and Chesaning held the Bulldogs scoreless until the top of the 7th when they scored a run. Chesaning put 2 runs on the board in the bottom of the 5th to take game 1 6-4. Ellie DuRussel got the win giving up 4 runs on 3 hits with 13 strikeout and 7 walks. DuRussel also led the Indian offense with 2 hits with a double and 2 rbi. Hailey Rolfe added a hit scored 2 runs with 2 stolen bases, while Abbey VanHarren and Bryn Mahoney each collected a hit.
