Chesaning traveled to Merrill for non-conference action and fell in the first game 11-6. Chesaning jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead but Merrill chipped at that lead scoring 4 in the 2nd, 1 in each the 3rd and 4th, 2 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th. Leaders for the Indians on the night were:
