The Rams scored early and often in the nightcap and defeated the Indians 17-2.  Chesaning managed only 5 hits in Game 2 pushing across 2 runs.  Ellie DuRussel took the loss but ranked up 10 more strikeouts in Game 2 giving her 27 on the night. Hitting leaders for the Indians were:

"As good of a game we played in game 1 the second game we didn't have our best performance.  We faced 2 really good pitchers, probably the 2 best pitchers we have seen all season and when you lose a close game like we did in game 1, it can be hard to come back mentally especially for a young team.  I hope that they take away from the first game that they can play with anyone but they need to believe in themselves like the coaches believe in them.  Things don't always go your way, so you have to fight and play through it and make the next play or make adjustments at the plate and pick up a key hit.  Hopefully the girls will continue to work hard and keep improving as we have a few weeks left in the regular season before we start District play"
