The second game against Itacha was another great game. Both teams were held scoreless through the first 3 innings. The Indians put up 2 runs in the top of the fourth to take a 2-0 lead. Ithaca came back in the bottom half of the inning putting up 3 runs to take a 3-2 lead. The Indians scored 1 run in the top of the fifth inning to tie it up, but Ithaca came right back and scored 2 of their own to take a 5-3 lead. The Indians tried to come back but fell short, scoring 1 run in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-4 loss. It was a great split against the 9th ranked team in the state for Divison 3.

A. Devereaux started the game, but was taken out of the game after taking a line shot to the head. She pitched  .1 inning allowing 1 hit. B Struck came in relief pitching 5.2 innings giving up 4 hits allowing 5 runs (2 earned) while walking 0 and striking out 6 for the loss.

Next game is Monday (5/1/2023) starting at 4pm home against Lakeville.
