Chesaning Girls Track & Field traveled to Freeland to compete in the Freeland Falcon Invitational on Sunday. The Indians took 7th place overall and 3rd place out of the Division 3 teams in attendance. “I am very excited with the girls team we have this season. We have an excellent group of athletes that have shown nothing but hard work and perseverance so far this season. I am proud of the effort our team put forth, especially with the level of competition we faced on Sunday. We have a lot of work to do between now and the end of our season to be where we want to be. If we continue to prepare the way we need to, this has the looks of a very promising girls season for our team.”

Field events were a highlight for the Lady Indians. Freshman Makayla Reiber took 6th place in the High Jump with a height of 4’7”. Junior Kyla Jackson took 3rd place in Shot Put with a throw of 31’9”. And Junior Avery Beckman took 3rd place in Pole Vault with a season best height of 8’0”.
