Chesaning Girls Track & Field traveled to the St. Louis Invitational where they took 9th place out of 13 competing schools. The Lady Indians earned 32 points in competition, narrowly behind Carrolloton’s 34 and Swan Valley’s 37. I am proud of the heart and determination this team shows each time they compete. Every athlete put their best effort on display despite facing challenging conditions, no one gave anything less than their absolute best this evening.
Standout performances include:
Hannah Oakes who medaled in both the Discus and 400 meter dash. Hannah set a new PR in the 400 despite running in extremely high winds.
Makayla Reiber 5th in the High Jump
Avery Beckman 5th in Pole Vault
Taylor Bailey 5th in the 800 meter run
4 x 100, 4 x 400, and 4 x 800 Relay Teams all earned 4th place finishes
