The Junior Varsity team was back on the field after their week break on Wednesday night to take on the Durand Railroaders! The Indians got the win in Game 1 of the double header 19-6! The girls got the bats going early and often in this one and had some stellar defensive plays to hold off Durand in their last game rally. 

J. Wendling: 1 single, 1 walk, 1 run scored

S. Shelton: 2 singles, 1 walk, 2 runs scored

E. Losey: 1 single, 1 walk, 2 runs scored

N. Neumann: 4 walks, 4 runs scored

A Knollinger: 1 double, 1 single, 1 walk, 4 runs scored

B. Pierce: 1 double, 2 walks, 2 runs scored

K. Nelson: 1 walk

P. Darby: 1 single, 1 run scored

P. Breedan: 2 singles, 2 runs scored

Elisse Losey took the win on the mound in Game 1 striking out 7 batters (5-1 on the season)

We were very glad to see the girls get their bats going in this game and keep the offensive momentum that they had against Alma and bring it to this game! Offensively and Defensively we played “smart softball” which is what we have been preaching all season! 

The Indians are 8-1 on the season and (2-1 in MMAC)
