7th Grade Volleyball @ Durand 12/6/21 

Orange Team Summary: 

Chesaning's 7th grade "Orange" team was up first against Durand. Game one went to the Indians with a score of 25-16. Top servers were Taylor Maier with 5 ace serves. Jayden Manser, Presley Ward, and Lizzy Beldyga all had 2 ace serves as well. Game two finished with a score of 25 for Chesaning and 8 for Durand. Serving big for the Indians was Audrey Gilman with 6 ace serves, Leah Fulk with 5 ace serves, and Paige Swartz with 3 ace serves as well. Finishing the match with game 3, Chesaning secured the sweep with a score of 25-22. Jessa Chrysler put up 3 ace serves for the Indians, Jayden Manser and Audrey Gilman had 2 aces each, and Paige Swartz, Lizzy Beldyga, and Peyton Howell all had one ace serve as well. Great job, ladies! 

Black Team Summary: 

Chesaning's 7th grade "Black" team faced Durand's second team following the conclusion of the "Orange" team. Durand's second team seemed to be the stronger of the two teams. Game one started slow for the Indians but picked up towards the end when the girls rallied to finish game one with a score of 15-25, Durand. Serving big for the Indians was Avarie Thomas with 2 ace serves. Cora Ustishen and Elisse Losey each brought in one ace this game as well. Game two was a close rally, but the Indians were able to pull ahead and win with a score of 25-21. Performing from the serving line was Avarie Thomas with 3 ace serves, Rowan Harris with 2 ace serves, and Kendra Nelson and Elisse Losey with one ace serve each. Going into game three being split 1-1, the Chesaning Indians left their hearts on the court for the final game. Unfortunately, so did Durand who pulled ahead to win with a score of 19-25. Alaina Knoellinger added to those 19 points with 3 ace serves, Avarie Thomas and Elisse Losey had one ace each as well. Amazing work from all girls involved!
