7th Grade Volleyball @ Byron 12/8/21 

Black Team: 

The 7th grade Girl’s “Black” Volleyball team went against the Byron Eagles first. During game one, the Indians battled to the end to lose with a score of 19-25. Star servers for the Indians were Alaina Knoellinger with 3 ace serves, Rowan Harris with 2 ace serves, and Lilly Tomac with 1 ace serves. Game two was another close game where the girls did not give up on their team but lost again with a score of 19-25. The lone star server for game 2 was Lilly Tomac with one ace serve for the Indians. Game three went to the Eagles as well with a final score of 18-25. Star servers were Elisse Losey with 5 ace serves and Hailia Jewell with 2 ace serves as well. Even though points and final scores didn’t fall our way, the girls kept a strong team mindset and never gave up. 

Orange Team: 

After the “Black” team finished their set against Byron, the “Orange” team took the court for their set. Game one was a battle to the end with the Indians pulling ahead to win 27-25. Star servers for Chesaning during game one were Leah Fulk, Paige Swartz, and Audrey Gilman with 3 ace serves and Jordan Wendling with 2 ace serves. Game two was less tight in the scoring department and the win went to the Eagles with a score of 16-25. Success from the serving line came from Leah Fulk and Jayden Manser with 2 aces each, and Jordan Wendling with one ace serve. Split after two games, Chesaning went into game three with positive energy and a drive to win. The score went back and forth until the end with the Eagles taking the overall win for the night with a score of 18-25 for game three. Big servers were Leah Fulk and Audrey Gilman with two ace serves to close the night.
