On Monday night, Chesaning Middle School volleyball traveled to Montrose for their first game of the season. The 7th graders won all 6 sets with scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-15, 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.Leading scorer for the “Black” team was Brianna Rodriguez with 14 points; 13 of them being aces! Following behind her was Livia Debusschere with 9; 5 aces. All of Teagan Sutliff's and 5 of Paige Theile's 6 points were ace serves. Almira Syed scored 4 points; 3 aces. Both of Layla Watson's serves were aces, and both Brianna Fernandez & Emely Serrano-Rojas earned one ace.

In the last match of the night, the “Orange” team was lead by Avery Morse with 10 points; half were aces. Both Makayla Meyer and Rylee Neri scored 6 points with Meyer earning 5 aces and Neri getting 2. Jaina Erickson, Chloe Plonsky, and Josalee Weisenberger all had 4 points with 2 aces each. All three of Raina Middleton's points were ace serves while Maeve Gross had 2 aces with her three points. Lily Shackelford scored 2 points (1 ace) and both Braelyn Rogers and Emma Turner had one ace while Ryan Timmerman and Harper Turnwald rounded out the scoring with one point apiece.  

On the net, Timmerman had an assist to Meyer's one kill.
