Last night, Chesaning Middle School 7th Grade Volleyball teams traveled to Durand. In the first match of the night, the “Black” team lost all three sets with scores of 20-25, 9-25, & 14-25. Leading scorer for the game was Teagan Sutliff with 5 points; 2 aces. Livia Debusschere and Brianna Rodriguez each scored 2 points while Emely Serrano-Rojas, Almira Syed, Paige Thiel, and Sienna Vasquez-Vela had one point apiece.

Serrano-Rojas had one kill in the last set for her team.

In the second match, the “Orange” team won with scores of 25-16, 15-25, & 25-15. Lily Shackelford led all servers with 10 points, 4 being aces. Avery Morse put up 8 points and Ryan Timmerman scored 6 points. Both Chloe Plonsky and Madison Tate earned 3 points while Maeve Gross, Makayla Meyer, Rylee Neri, Braelyn Rogers, and Josie Weisenberger all had 2 apiece. Rounding out the scoring with one point each was Jaina Erickson and Brielle Lanczynski.

At the net, the Lady Indians had 4 kills from Meyer, 2 kills from Shackelford, and one from Erickson and Gross.  Assisting those attacks were Morse and Timmerman with 3 each and Raina Middleton with one.
