Wednesday night, Chesaning’s 7th grade volleyball team traveled to Durand for 2 games. In the first game, the Black team lost all three sets but had some amazing 3-hit volleys.  The scores of this game were 22-25, 19-25, & 22-25. They were led by Almira Syed with 7 points; 6 were aces. Following behind her was both Brianna Fernandez and Paige Thiel with 4 points, 3 aces each. Brianna Rodriguez and Sienna Vasquez-Vela each earned three points while Lakyn Douglas, Layla Pritchett-Belanger, and Layla Watson scored one point each.

On the net, Fernandez had 2 kills and Rodriguez smashed one. Malorie Theile earned an assist.

In the second game, the Lady Indians won two of the three sets with very close scores of 26-24, 17-25, & 25-22.  Makayla Meyer led all scorers with 7 points; 5 being aces. Rylee Neri had 5 points and both Maeve Gross and Chloe Plonsky scored 4 each. Ryan Timmerman earned 3 points while Avery Morse, Madison Tate, and Josalee Weisenberger scored twice each. Finishing out the scoring was Jaina Erickson, Raina Middleton, Lily Shackelford, and Harper Turnwald with one point apiece. 

At the net, Shackelford and Timmerman each had one kill with Timmerman earning an assist.
