Girls Seventh Grade Volleyball vs. Montrose Hill-McCloy HS School

Wednesday night, Chesaning’s 7th grade volleyball team hosted Montrose for their last games of the season. In the first game, the "Black" team played hard and won 2 sets out of three with scores of 25-21, 22-25, & 25-22.  

Leading scorers were Brianna Rodriguez with 8 points, Almira Syed with 6, and Livia Debusshere with 4 points. Scoring 2 ace points each were Brianna Fernandez, Layla Pritchett-Belanger, Emma Ustishen, and Layla Watson. Mackenzie Geitman, Emely Serrano-Rojas, and Teagan Sutliff scored one point apiece.

Even though they didn’t have any kills or assists, the team had many 3-hit volleys! The team ended their season with 15 sets won and 20 lost.

 

In the second game of the night, the "Orange" team played an amazing game and came away with a huge victory; winning all three sets with scores of 25-17, 25-16, & 25-20. Ryan Timmerman scored a whopping 11 points while Braelyn Rogers followed with 7. Rylee Neri contributed 6 points and Maeve Gross earned 5. Both Jaina Erickson and Brielle Lanczynski put up 4 points each as Lily Shackelford scored 3, Josie Weisenberger had 2, and Harper Turnwald finished with one.  

The team was on fire at the net with Gross earning 5 kills, Timmerman had 2 while Rogers, Shackelford, and Weisenberger had one kill each.  Assisting in those kills were Rogers with four and Neri and Timmerman with two assists each.

The team ended their season with 25 sets won and 10 lost.
