Girls Varsity Cross Country 8th @ County Championship

The Chesaning Girls Cross-Country team took an 8th place finish at the Saginaw County Cross-Country Championship on Saturday hosted by Freeland. Despite facing a slow and muddy course the Chesaning team gave it their all, with every runner beating their projected finishing place. Taylor Bailey led the Indians by taking 21st place to earn All-County honors. Her finishing time of 22:54 helped her move up 16 places in the rankings. Makayla Reiber came in next for the Indians crossing in 25:08 for 43rd place. Eliana Germaine was close behind with a 44th place finish in 25:25. Emily Smith ran one of her best overall races of the season with a 46th place finish in 25:45. Shyanne Sutter completed the scoring for the Indians with a 34:57 finish for 62nd place.
