The Chesaning Indian MS Football Team won their first game of the season over visiting Durand MS by a score of 24-8. Landon Qualls opened the scoring for the Indians in the 1st quarter with a 10 yard TD run. Max Volk added on the 2 point conversion run making the score 8-0. In the 2nd quarter Brady Sager hooked up with Brayden Florian for a 71 yard TD pass and Cal Frasier ran in the 2 point conversion making the score 16-0. In the 3rd quarter Landon Qualls once again hit paydirt with a 15 yard touchdown run. Max Volk completed a pass to Brayden Florian to add on the 2 point conversion making the score 24-0. Durand scored midway through the 4th quarter and added on the 2 point conversion to complete the scoring at 24-8.

Leading the way for the Indians offensively were:

Max Volk 11 rushes for 53 yards and a 2 point conversion. Volk was also 2-4 passing for 24 yards and a 2 point conversion.

Landon Qualls 7 rushes for 59 yards and 2 TD's.

Brady Sager 3 rushes for 27 yards. Sager was also 1-1 passing for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Cal Frasier 5 rushes for 20 yards and a 2 point conversion.

Dakota Obuchowski 1 rush for 11 yards.

Brayden Florian 2 rushes for 4 yards. Florian also had 2 catches for 95 yards, a TD and a 2 point conversion.

Leading the way Defensively for the Indians were:

Landon Qualls, Cal Frasier and Quinton Everett all had 4 tackles.

Max Volk, Brady Sager, Wyatt Persails, Brayden Florian and Braydn Wendling each tallied 3 tackles.

Dakota Obuchowski had 2 tackles.

Kaleb Chrysler, Seth Schlicht, Hayden Salazar and Nick Brown all had 1 tackle.

The next game is Wednesday, October 7 when the Indians travel to New Lothrop for a 5:30 kick off against the Hornets.
