Chesaning MS Football loses to New Lothrop 22-24

The Chesaning MS Football team suffered a tough loss at New Lothrop 22-24 on Wednesday, October 7th.
In the 1st Quarter Brady Sager opened the scoring for the Indians with a 5 yard touchdown run. The 2 point conversion attempt was good on a 3 yard run by Landon Qualls, making the score 8-0. In the 2nd quarter Qualls scored on a 55 yard touchdown run and the 2 point conversion attempt failed making the score 14-0. Then late in the 2nd quarter, Sager connected with Qualls on a 23 yard touchdown pass. Sager then connected with Max Volk to convert the 2 point conversion attempt pushing the Indians lead to 22-0 at the half. The 2nd half belonged to the Hornets as they scored 8 points in the 3rd quarter and 16 points in the 4th quarter to complete the comeback.
Leading the way for Chesaning offensively were:
Brady Sager 5-5 passing for 86 yards, 1 TD and a 2 point conversion pass. Sager also rushed 2 times for 3 yards and a touchdown.
Max Volk 1-5 passing for 5 yards. Volk also rushed 3 times for 20 yards and caught 2 passes for 27 yards with a 2 point conversion reception.
Landon Qualls 6 rushes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Qualls also caught 1 pass for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Cal Frasier had 7 rushes for 15 yards.
Brayden Florian caught 2 passes for 36 yards.
Dakota Obuchowski caught 1 pass for 5 yards.
Defensively the Indians were led by:
Landon Qualls 12 tackles.
Cal Frasier and Braydn Wendling each had 8 tackles.
Brayden Florian 7 tackles.
Max Volk 5 tackles.
Dakota Obuchowski 3 tackles.
Brady Sager, Wyatt Persails and Quinton Everett 2 tackles.
Kaleb Chrysler and Isiah Santhany each had 1 tackle.
The Indians will host the Mt. Morris Panthers next Wednesday, October 14 with a 5:30 PM kick-off.
