Boys Middle School Baseball Makes Huge Improvement

Huge improvement for the Chesaning Middle School baseball team! The first time they came across Montrose they lost 18-0 and 15-0 with only two runners on in both games combined. This time they rewrote the narrative. In game 1 Chesaning put a runner on base every inning and besides the first inning the Indians managed to put runners in scoring position. While they struggled to get them across the plate they proved to themselves that they can not only hang with anybody but can strike fear into teams at any given moment. Griffin Sulen had a double in the second inning and Blake Sanders had a single in the third inning.

The Chesaning Indians watched the game slip away in the 3rd inning. Chesaning battled in the first inning. They trailed 3-1 after one inning. The third inning the Eagles extended their lead 11-1. The Chesaning Indians' had a late surge of a few runs but could not piece together enough momentum to come back. The Chesaning Indians would wind up falling short 14-3. Mathew Amman and Andrew Reiber each managed one hit to lead the Chesaning Indians. Chesaning stole a total of eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Hudson Persails led the way with two.

The Chesaning Indians could not recover from an early lead put up by the Byron Eagles. The Chesaning Indians put up 6 runs late to mount a comeback but it was a little too late as they fell short 6-15. The Chesaning Indians fought to the very last pitch and look to carry that fight into the next game. The Chesaning Indians out hit the Byron Eagles 5 to 3. Hudson Persails went 2 for 2 with two singles. The Chesaning Indians stole 14 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Collin Lester led the way with six. The Indians will take on the Durand Railroaders Friday, April 29th, @ Durand.
Chesaning Middle School Baseball Loses both to Montrose

The Chesaning Indians fell behind early in game 1 and couldn't come back in an 18-0 loss to Montrose Rams on Wednesday. The Chesaning Indians struggled to contain the high-powered offense. In the third inning the Chesaning Indians held the Rams to only 3 runs. Nothing came easy in game two for the Chesaning Indians, as they fell 15-0 to the Montrose Rams. The Chesaning Indians stole four bases during the second game as two players stole more than one. Blake Sanders led the way with two. The Indians look forward to taking on the Durand Railroaders, home on Friday, April 22nd.
