The Chesaning Boys Cross-Country team captured the MMAC Conference Title with a victory in the final Jamboree of the season hosted at Uncle John’s Cider Mill. Chesaning took first place in the meet with a 30 point score over Runner-Up New Lothrop (53) and 3rd place finisher Ovid-Elsie (64). With the first place finish Chesaning took home its first MMAC Title since the league formed.
Chesaning secured the victory with 5 runners placing in the top 10, led by the strong running of Levi Maier. Maier took 2nd place in the meet and the conference with an impressive 17:32 time despite facing a slow and muddy course. Jaden James posted his best race of the season, running a season best time of 19:03 to take 5th place in the meet, with Junior Corbin Walker close on his heels with a 6th place finish in 19:04. Mason Stuck helped set the pace for the Chesaning team early in the race, pushing the team during the first 2 miles before holding on for 9th place in 19:16. Dakota Sutter rounded out the scoring for the Indians with a 10th place finish in 19:19. Freshman Caleb Walker set a new Personal Best with a 15th place finish in 20:03. Eric Barancik in 21:32 and Aiden Trzil in 25:53 completed the Chesaning Team.
