Varsity Baseball defeats Carrollton 5-2 in Game 1

The Chesaning Varsity Baseball team opened the season by defeating the Carrollton Cavaliers 5-2 in Game 1. Brady Sager started on the mound for the Indians and pitched a perfect 4 innings. Sager faced 12 Cavalier batters and struck out all 12 batters. Eli Keck took over on the mound in the 5th inning and pitched the final 3 innings to close out the game. Keck picked up the opening game win for the Indians.
Chesaning scored first by scoring a run in the 3rd inning to take a 1-0 lead. Carrollton answered in the top of the 5th scoring with a run to tie the score at 1-1. Chesaning quickly reclaimed the lead scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th to make the score 5-1. Carrollton added 1 run in the top of the 7th inning to make the final score 5-2. Keck led the offensive attack for Chesaning with 2 hits. Adam Woodcock, Jacob Zyrowski, Braydyn Dilts and Drew Reiber each had 1 hit for the Indians.
