The Chesaning Varsity Baseball team opened Mid Michigan Activities Conference play with a convincing 14-0 win in game 1 over the Montrose Rams. Brady Sager started on the mound for the Indians and collected his first win on the season. Sager went 5 innings and gave up 2 hits, 4 walks while striking out 9 batters. Eli Keck came in for relief and pitched the 6th and 7th innings. Keck gave up 1 hit and struck out 3 batters. Chesaning got on the board early scoring two runs in the first, second and third innings to give them an early 6-0 lead. The Indians added 3 more runs in the fifth inning and finally 5 more runs in the seventh inning to make the final score 14-0. With the win Chesaning improves to 3-0 and 1-0 in the MMAC.
