Chesaning hosted the Corunna Cavaliers for a non-league doubleheader Friday night and suffered their first loss of the season 12-2 in game 1. Freshman Jacob Zyrowski started his first varsity game on the mound for the Indians and suffered the loss. Zyrowski went 3 innings and allowed 6 runs (4 earned runs) on 4 hits and 3 walks, during his start. Luke Barta came in for relief and also pitched 3 innings. Barta allowed 6 runs (2 earned runs) on 4 hits and 3 walks. Chesaning struggled at the plate and only had 4 hits in the game. Max Volk led the Indians with 2 hits, Brady Sager and Hudson Persails each had 1 hit for the Indians. With the loss Chesaning drops to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in the MMAC.
