Chesaning traveled to New Lothrop to play the Durand Railroaders in a Pre-District game on Tuesday, May 27 and came away victorious 8-0. Brady Sager earned the win, throwing a no-hitter and striking out seventeen Durand batters. Sager only allowed three base runners in the game. Two batters reached base by walks and one reached on an error. With the win Sager improves to 9-0 on the season. On the offensive side of the ball the Indians collected eleven hits in the game. Sager, Max Volk, Adam Woodcock and Hudson Persails each had two hits to lead Chesaning. With the win Chesaning advances to the District Semi-Final and will play Ovid-Elsie on Saturday at 10:00 AM at New Lothrop High School. Chesaning’s record improves to 27-6 for the season.
