The Chesaning Boys Varsity Golf team traveled to the Tawas Bay 2-Day Invitational on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.  Day one of the event was played at Red Hawk Golf Club in East Tawas.  The Indians battled changing weather conditions early in their rounds, but finished the day with sunshine.  The team carded an overall day one score of 344 leaving them in 5th place to start day two. Scoring for the tribe on day one were Charlie Clover (83), Luke Skaryd (85), Quinton Everett (88), Will Pierce (88), Justin Lange (90), and Brad Agnew (107).  Day two of the invitational was played at Huron Breeze GC in Au Gres.  The Indians found a way to battle back to an overall two day team total score of 672 by carding a team total of 328 at Huron Breeze.  Their finish was good enough to place 3rd in the nineteen team field.  Leading the Indians on day two were Charlie Clover (79), Justin Lange (80), Quinton Everett (84), Luke Skaryd (85), Will Pierce (94), and Porter Greenfelder (99).  Charlie Clover finished 7th individually out of 114 golfers.  With the Tawas Bay Invitational finish, the Indians moved up to 8th overall in the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association Division 3 rankings.  More than 110 Michigan high schools compete in Division 3.
