Chesaning Varsity Golf 1st at MMAC Mid-Season Invitational

The Chesaning Boys' Varsity Golf Team competed at the MMAC Mid-Season Invitational on Monday, May 5 at Briar Ridge Golf Course in Montrose. The Indians took 1st place out of the 10 team conference field, shooting the team's season best 18-hole score of 322. Sophomore Luke Skaryd and junior Justin Lange paced the team, each firing 80 and earning a tie for 2nd place individually. Skaryd made four birdies on the day on holes 1, 5, 10, and 11. Langes lone birdie was on hole 17. He also carded 11 pars on his round. Seniors Charlie Clover and Quinton Everett each carded 81, earned a tie for 5th place individually. Clover made birdies on holes 10 and 12 while Everett's lone birdie was on 12. Everett also made 9 pars on the day. Also scoring for the Indians were Porter Greenfelder with a 91 and Will Pierce with a 92. With the 1st place finish, Chesaning sits alone atop the MMAC standings. The season ending 18-hole invitational will be host by Chesaning at Twin Brooks Golf Club on Monday, May 19.
