Chesaning JV  boys basketball team lost a close match in their season opener when Swan Valley hit a 2 point bucket with 3.5 seconds remaining to pull out the (45-43) win. The Indians held a 12 point lead going into the fourth quarter; they hustled and played scrappy defense throughout the game. But, poor free-throw shooting and turnovers (especially in the 4th quarter) took their toll, resulting in the loss. While it was a tough loss, we are learning to gel as a team and will focus on improvements to make as we get ready for our next game on Thursday against Byron. Zach Garno led the team with 17 points and had 4 steals. Dylan James and Zach grabbed 5 rebounds each.
