Chesaning JV boys won a tight, hard-fought contest over Durand 61 to 59 Monday. The Indians held the lead most of the game, but with just 7 seconds remaining, the Railroaders managed to tie the game at 59 all. After Chesaning in-bounded the ball with 5.9 seconds on the clock, then passed it a few times, Chaz Slankard launched a 15 ft. turn-around jump shot, which bounced up from both sides of the rim (as the final buzzer sounded) before falling through the net for the winning basket!  It was an exciting and high-intensity game from start to finish. Gavin Birchmeier led the Indian scoring with 16 points, followed by Chaz Slankard with 12. Keighan Stoddard grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds, followed by Zach Garno with 5. Conner Qualls had 5 steals. The JV Indians will host Montrose Thursday @ 7:00 PM.
